Purpose & Responsibilities

Purpose

To provide an opportunity for Association members to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of fellow colleagues through the Leadership and Service Awards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the solicitation of nominees for the Leadership and Service Awards
  • Work with the Diversity and Affirmative Action, Corporate Relations, New Professionals and Exhibit Committees as well as the Executive Committee
  • Request from the Annual Conference Program Committee an appropriate time and space to hold the awards presentation
  • Submit an informative article or update per issue of the WACUHO WAVES newsletter
  • Submit a brief abstract in January to the Program Committee Chairs for inclusion in the program notebook
  • Prepare and submit an annual report to the Vice President by May 1st which summarizes the committee's activity during the year
