What is the Western Training Institute?
Western Training Institute (WTI), sponsored by WACUHO is a three day workshop held annually for professionals who work in all areas of housing. These days are spent developing your skills as a practitioner in the field, while examining the dynamics of change and how we can strive to advance the betterment of our field.
What is the focus for WTI 2012?
This institute's theme this year is Sustain U and will focus on three components:
- Sustaining yourself in the field of Housing & Residential Life (Balance, Professional Development).
- Sustaining your Institution or Department
- Sustaining your Career (the next step, development etc.)
WTI 2012 Learning Objectives?
- Participants will recognize sources and strategies for sustaining personal wellness.
- Participants will design options for creating a more sustainable department back at their home campuses.
- Participants will examine possibilities for career sustainability.
When is WTI 2012?
The Western Training Institute will be held January 29 -February 1, 2012.
Check-in begins at 4pm on Sunday the 29th and the institution will end at 11am on February 1, 2012.
