Getting involved in your professional community is one of the most rewarding steps you can take toward personal growth, leadership development, and meaningful connection. Whether you’re new or looking to re-engage, there are several accessible and impactful ways to participate in our WACUHO community - joining a committee, signing up for WAVES, and attending virtual opportunities.
Join a committee: Make an Impact
Committees are the backbone of many organizations. They are where ideas are exchanged, initiatives are shaped, and real change happens. By joining a committee, you:
• Develop leadership skills – Share your knowledge, learn new skills, collaborate, plan, and contribute to the work.
• Expand your network – Build relationships with peers, friend, mentors and professionals across our WACUHO region.
• Contribute to meaningful work – Play a direct role in shaping programs, opportunities, events, conference, and much more.
Getting started is simple. Look for committees that align with your interests— Check out all the individual committees that help make WACUHO run and be as effective as we are! Don’t hesitate to volunteer; committees are always looking for new perspectives and fresh energy.
